Since 1987, we have been teaching Vietnamese to students of all ages in the DMV area.
About Us
Thăng Long Vietnamese Language School (TVNTL) aims to teach the Vietnamese language, culture, and history to the children growing up in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
We are proud to share our language, culture, and history with the younger Vietnamese generation. Through the school, learning about Vietnam continues to grow and blossom throughout the community.
What We Do
At Thăng Long Vietnamese Language School, we provide weekly instruction that touches upon all aspects of Vietnamese culture—not just the Vietnamese language. On Saturdays throughout the school year, students learn to speak, read, and write in Vietnamese. In addition to the language, other aspects of Vietnamese culture are taught, including history, art, music, and literature.
Our Staff
As a not-for-profit organization, our staff is made up of dedicated volunteers who have a life-long passion for learning and teaching.
Each grade-level class has a designated primary teacher and an appropriate number of teaching assistants. We ensure that our teachers are trained and qualified to teach the grade level assigned to them, and the teaching assistants know how to assist in the classroom. Many of our teachers have been teaching for numerous years. For more information about our teaching staff and their backgrounds, please visit the Staff page.
